West Florida Electric Cooperative is accepting resumes for Chief Financial Officer. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline from an accredited university or college is required, with a master's degree preferred. The ideal candidate will have ten years of experience in a senior accounting or finance role at an electric cooperative.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related discipline.
Ten years of experience in a senior finance or accounting role within an electric cooperative.
Experience with long term financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and risk management.
Proven and effective executive level leadership experience.
Experience with Meridian software is preferred.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring GAAP and regulatory compliance.
Provide monthly financial reporting, budget analysis, and forecasting.
Lead annual budget development and monitor financial performance.
Supervise Accounting Department staff of three, and manage consultants, auditors, and vendors.
Support strategic planning as a member of the executive management team.
Prepare loan applications and manage debt portfolio and financing strategies.
Coordinate tax filings, audits, and insurance claims administration.
Maintain accurate records for capital credits, depreciation, inventory, and assets.
Perform financial analyses.
Communicate regularly with the CEO on KPC’s financial health and recommendations.
Facilitate ongoing communication with leadership team to align financial strategies with operational goals, support informed decision-making, and drive organizational performance across all departments.
Salary and Benefits:
Salary is commensurate with experience. Compensation includes medical insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, vacation and sick leave, a defined benefit retirement plan and a 401k with a 3% match.
